Hi, we’re Andi and Shaun! We’re a wife and husband team with a blended family that loves living a healthy lifestyle.
Rocky Mountain Olive Oil was founded in 2011 and in 2020 when we had the opportunity to buy it, we jumped! After years of cooking and baking healthy meals using Extra Virgin Olive Oil from places like Italy, Greece, Chile and Argentina, we decided it was time to help growers, pressers and makers bring ultra-premium, delicious Extra Virgin Olive Oil to the US market.
As we began our journey, we learned more about what makes a flavorful and healthy EVOO and we discovered that the majority of the olive oils here in the US are not what they say they are. They are not always 100% extra virgin. We’ve since then made it our mission to only sell ultra-premium Extra Virgin Olive Oils made in various costal regions in the Northern and Southern Hemisphere and balsamic vinegars sourced from Modena, Italy. We’ve also made it our mission to educate people about what it truly means to be Extra Virgin. All of our flavored olive oils are made with our ultra pure EVOO and infused with whole fruits and vegetables, spices and herbs.

Growing up in Colorado, both of us were exposed to an epicenter of health. Whatever next big health trend to wash over the US was sure to be adopted by Coloradoans. Now, having our own family, we have vowed to try lots when it comes to food, but stick with what we know to be healthy – ultra premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil being one of those things. Have you heard of polyphenols? Let us go through a quick introduction, if not. Polyphenols are a group of plant-based chemicals. They are found in a variety of nuts, seeds, fruits and spices and they are very antioxidant rich. Polyphenols are found in olives and, like other antioxidants, polyphenols are proven to combat stress-related diseases like heart disease, high blood pressure and cholesterol and some forms of cancer.

When we first bought Rocky Mountain Olive Oil, we were taken aback by what is permissible as “olive oil.” Well over half of the “olive oils” on US shelves are not authentically olive oils. When olive oil is not truly extra virgin, it is missing the polyphenol content that makes it so healthy for us all. Our ultra-premium Extra Virgin Olive Oils have high polyphenol contents (between 150 and 400 mg or more at the time of harvest) and aren’t without flavor. Whether you like your olive oil infused or not, we’ve got you covered for cooking, baking and eating and of course, of course, of course, you know what you’re eating is authentic.
